I have kicked the thought  around of starting my own program; but, at this time I have not. I expect you  have noticed that some pages do not look like they are mine. They are not; they  are maintained by the network; as the affiliate program is. &lt;/DIV&gt; &lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt; &lt;DIV&gt;I broke away almost as soon as I purchased my site! I use the network, so  that my members will have the full database to mailto; but, that is where the  similarity ends. I didn't like the idea that my members were automatically being  added to an additional database and I didn't relish the idea that my site was a  clone of hundreds, maybe thousands of others. So I discarded the stock&amp;nbsp;site  and built my own from scratch. It took some time as I had never done this  before; but, it worked and I feel a lot better about what I offer. My site is  unique within the network and nobody is arbitrarily added to that second  database. In fact, on my FAQ page, you will find a Global Remove link that will  remove you from the entire network! Took some time to find that boy; but, it's  there and anyone is free to use it. My contribution to eliminating "legal spam"  if you like. &lt;/DIV&gt; &lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt; &lt;DIV&gt;I have given a lot of thought to adding an additional database of own! Big  difference, only my members could mail to it and by using it, they do not become  a part of it! That will come when I break totally away! Of course, my members  would still be a part of the membership database and send and receive  accordingly; but, the addtional database would allow sends only with no  receives.&lt;/DIV&gt; &lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt; &lt;DIV&gt;There is a lot to do to set up an independent safelist and believe me a  mailto only database of a million or so is not cheap. I have taken some of the  not so obvious steps: my own hosting being one of the big ones. I can now set up  any one of my members with a safelist site and link them right into the network;  but,&amp;nbsp; I have not done it, because it just wouldn't be right. Sort of like  stealing and that is not me.&lt;/DIV&gt; &lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt; &lt;DIV&gt;As to the question: You will have to re-enter and mail whichever offer you  want to send every day. This actually is a good thing as your offer will get  stale after just a few mailings. This is not in the Tips; but, you should have  three (3) killer Subjects and three (3) variations of your offer! The reason is preparation! Three components  of every offer must be just right. They are:&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt; &lt;UL&gt;the From Line - Username&lt;/UL&gt; &lt;UL&gt;the Subject Line&lt;/UL&gt; &lt;UL&gt;the Offer - Message Body&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;BR&gt;Some safelists [mine is one] use the  members Username as the From Line. This is one of the first things a potential  client sees. It must be credible! I always recommend using your real name. When  I mail my own list, my username is Lou_Smith. It tells everyone, the message is  from me and increases the likelyhood the message will be read.&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;The  Subject Line is critical. It must be concise and it must be representative of  the offer - Nothing crazy or outlandish; just factual!&lt;BR&gt;&lt;BR&gt;The Offer must be  short and sweet. Don't waste the readers time with dialogue! Give them a chance  to go to your site on the first line, then a short paragraph expanding the  subject is optimal. You will receive many emails, so make sure your  list email is not your primary or your PayPal address or important in any way; a  new online yahoo address is usually ok.&lt;/DIV&gt; &lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt; &lt;DIV&gt;OK, when this is done, you are ready to mail..... NOT!&lt;/DIV&gt; &lt;DIV&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/DIV&gt; &lt;DIV&gt;For one week, read every email you receive and I mean really read them.  Look at the From line, Study the Subject line of each and every one! Of the ones  that catch your eye, write them down. Adaptations may be useful with your own  offer. Next read the offers, does the subject concisely reflect the offer? It  MUST! Does the offer contain more than one offer? It MUST NOT! One offer only!  Two or more offers will present too many choices and you will lose all. I translated my translated pages back to English.  What a hoot! I am almost ashamed I have them. A check of SafeLists&amp;nbsp;serp on  various Google international engines produced some interesting results. The  French translation is #10 and is the only result on the page using the French  language. If I were a Frenchman, I would be disturbed! To rectify this problem,  at least in a self-serving way, I have&amp;nbsp;asked a very nice lady from Normandy  to convert my English into good, grammatical French. She accepted with obvious  enthusiasm! Even with the terrible French, a few noble souls have joined! For  them and all the other proud French men and women, SafeLists in its entirety  will be done in Good French. You might be surprised!&lt;/h2&gt;&lt;h2&gt;Username&lt;/h2&gt;&lt;p&gt;Your username should be given first priortiy. A username is more than an identifier to a safelist database. It is your identity, your identity to the folks who are your potential clients! When an offer is sent, your user name occupies the &lt;span class="safelists"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;From line&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt; of the email. In most cases, it is the first thing that your potential client sees! It should convey reality! It should tell who you are! Do not be afraid to use your own name. &lt;strong&gt;You are not a fly by night, one trick pony.... you are a real person, with a real business, offering a real opportunity!&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Your username "brands" you! Do you want to be Google or do you want to be "the_spammer"? Of course you do not want to be identified as the_spammer, so choose your username to identify you. If you are an individual or sole proprietor, use your name. My name is Lou Smith, username Lou_Smith. Nothing fancy, just "First name underline Last name". Almost always, the first letter of your first name and the first letter of your last name is capitalized, username is no different. The underline is for natural display; because most databases require a one word username. Lou_Smith displays as Lou Smith and gives me instant &lt;strong&gt;From line credibility&lt;/strong&gt;! My potential client knows who I am!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;If your online business is incorporated, a proper username is your business name. If the subject line does not elicit that "&lt;span style="color:#ff6666;"&gt;&lt;strong&gt;click me&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/span&gt;" response, it matters little how important the offer.  A good subject line first of all is short.  Not only is it short, it is explicit!  The subject line must be a clear,  concise representation of your offer. The subject line must not be hype; &lt;strong&gt;safelist&lt;/strong&gt; members have seen enough of that. To do this,  put a little white space in front of the subject line.
